HYDERABAD: The Tirupathi Rao Committee report on school fee regulation, which has been pending for long, might be out soon. At least that's what the Telangana education minister, Kadiyam Srihari, is believed to have told parents, who called on him on Wednesday. The minister, apart from assuring them of the report being submitted latest by December-end, is also said to have said that the government will immediately act on the suggestions made in the report.
(HSPA) - who met the minister at his office in the secretariat, to discuss this issue. According to them, the minister called up Tirupathi Rao in front of them and asked him for reasons for the delay. "We are happy with the assurances given to us by the minister - both on the submission of the report by month-end and, more importantly, on the assurance that the parents can expect some good news with regard to school fee regulation by Sankranti. However, given the past record of the government
, in terms of not being able to keep its word, we can only be cautiously optimistic about it," said Aravinda Jata, president, HSPA.

The parents further said that they have provided proofs of several schools defying the government order on admissions, to the minister, and asked him to look into the issue and initiate criminal action against all such schools.
"We also suggested that the schools can perhaps be given a go-ahead for the admission procession provided they do not impose any fee hike for this academic year," said Ashish Naredi, executive member, HSPA.
